    Oh Texas Roadhouse; How do I love thee, let me count the ways 1. Chicken. Deep fried "chicken fritter" for an appetizer? Hell yes. I don't care what kind of road kill squirrel fat they deep fry these in, but yum, yum, give me some. 2. More Chicken. I also don't care how much of the Bonneville Salt Flats were spread over the Rotisserie Chicken I had last time I was here. It was great. I might have smashed the carcass in my face and sucked on the rib cage just to get a little bit more of that yumminess. I might have, had my wife not slapped me before I had the chance. 3. Call ahead seating. I love walking in at about 6:30 on a Saturday night pressing myself against the huddled masses at the door with their strollers, screaming kids, and bad hair cuts. Give them your "secret code #" and wait at the bar for your table. I've never finished a beer before our table has been called. 4. Frosty cold 20oz beer mugs. Cold en ought to make even the shittiest Budweiser product palatable. 5. It's kitschy. Wanna see what I mean? Take a friend who has never been there and tell your server that it's his/her birthday. Also be sure to tell them that your friend will deny that it is, and proceed with the b-day humiliation. It involves riding a saddle and twirling a bandanna while the staff serenades you with a ridiculous song. Priceless. 6.It's far enough from my house to reasonably assure me that I will never run into anyone I know. Sure, we all have a guilty-pleasure chain restaurant. Yours might be the Olive Garden, mine is the TR 7. People watching. Where do all of the "special people" go when it's not State Fair time? Apparently, they come here! Giddee-up!

    You know that you're probably in trouble with a restaurant when there are no recent reviews on Yelp. First, we called ahead for pre-seating and still waited 45 minutes. Apparently, our pager was broken. Finally, one of the hosts noticed that we had been standing there for a long time while others went in front of us. We were about to say something when she noticed us. Then, the servers were in foul moods. The place had been blitzed. Management had not looked at a calendar and thought through that maybe they might need extra help, as July 3rd was a holiday for most people. The wait staff looked like prisoners on Huber or a scene from the Walking Dead. Our cactus blossom was great! But they were out of prime rib. This seems to be a regular occurence at Texas Roadhouse. It happened to us at another location. My wife ordered a NY Strip. I order a Ft Worth ribeye. Hers was fine but mine was fatty with a lot of gristle. I probably should have sent it back but by then, after the long wait and the grouchy waitstaff, we just wanted to pay and leave. A few years ago we stopped going to Outback because it was obvious that the quality of the steaks had dropped. This seems to be happening to Texas Roadhouse too. Everything else was fine: rolls, potato, chili. But we're looking for a better place for steak in the future. We had considered some others already. So my advice is that if you're looking for good steak, keep on going down the road. That's unfortunately what we'll be doing.

    So I just left and as a consumer, it was good food and the service was okay at best. Now as a restaurant manager, WOW! The health code violations and the lack of work ethic that was at this establishment would be concerning for most people. Waitresses and a manager standing around behind the bar Bsing(total of 6 people), a waitress standing behind the bar eatting chocolate pudding and licking her figures clean before going to check on her table and bringing a table food, a woman doing inventory checks standing on top of sinks next to the clean cups, beer coolers (right next to liquor bottle spouts) and on top another set of beer coolers next to the rolled silverware that was on top! (See picture 14) Yuck! Was enough to turn my stomach and the bar tender never even wiped down the surfaces that the inventory counter stepped on. If these are acceptable standards and practices for the Texas Roadhouse company, then I will make sure to never eat at another one again. On a positive note I will say Jamie the bar tender was super sweet and working hard. I hope she makes it as a marine biologist someday!

    The the place it is a great place. Free penuts and the bread and butter is the best. I love that it has lights with a lining on the button to shine light up and not in your eyes when trying to talk to people instead of writing reviews! LOL the food is great friendly staff its always busy so come early. You can even pick your own steak if you want.

    after a horrible experience ordering basically the same meal to go from Champps Americana, they NAILED it!!!! amazing. My husband loved the steak! Don't think about going to any other place when perfection is here. I have to admit my husband hates chain restaurants but thought it was a small steakhouse near our house!

    Welcome to the hillbilly Applebee's, y'all! Honestly, TR could be a lot worse - they stopped the terrible "line dancing" by the waitresses, the beer is cheap + served in icy mugs and they let you throw peanut shells on the floor. I've discovered that I really enjoy littering. The employees here are almost aggressively pleasant - its a little fake of course, but better than the sullen, indifferent servers at most chains. And they turn tables FAST here. There's a team of bussers that hover around like vultures - the second a table is vacant - BAM - they're on it. That's good because this place is always packed to the rafters. The food? Well, it's plentiful and cheap but not very good. The people watching is epic however - there were girls in prom dresses, moms in "howling wolf" fleeces, and a guy that looked like a MMA fighter who ordered and consumed the largest strawberry margarita I've ever seen. Two stars for the food. Four stars for the ability to dirty up their floor with shells and amazing people watching. Average - 3 stars.

    I've tried this location a couple if times over the years and have left disappointed each time. The last time my steak had a really strange taste to it. Since I only ever order the prime rib I think I know how it should taste! My husband wasn't impressed with the flavor of his sirloin either. Maybe the grill needed a good cleaning, I don't know, but considering our dissatisfaction every time we are steering clear of the New Berlin location.

    Sunday myself and a group of friends chose to eat dinner at texas roadhouse there was 8 of us and a baby. We started off with margaritas which came with a appetizer deal so we tried the fried pickles, we were all a bit skeptical considering we never had them before, but oh my gosh they were delicious and very addictive! Our waitress was on top of her game and did a excellent job, she Remembered all the extra (butters, ranch and sour creams) our steaks were cooked to perfection and bread and cinnamon butter was kept stocked on our table over all a great couples date! Never had any issues with this location and prefer this texas roadhouse over any others!

    Every time I've come here, I've gotten good service and good food. You gotta love being able to throw peanut shells on the floor. The bread is quite yummy - I could just go there to eat the rolls :)

    Plenty of food with reasonable prices. Staff does a great job to treat you well during your visit. I find this steakhouse to be better than Outback and Lonestar steakhouses if you want to compare the chains.

    I came here for my birthday. I was not happy with my food. I ordered a burger and it was completely overcooked. It tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a week. The theme was done well but I was not a fan of the decor. On food alone, Id give this place 2 stars. I would not go back here

    I've reviewed other Texas Roadhouses - in my book they're A-Ok for quick, cheap steak. It fits its niche, I get a huge, hearty meal and I've never been disappointed. You know what you're getting when you walk in, you know? They're not trying to be anything other than what they are. This particular location is nice in its proximity to The Ridge theater. As East Siders, we have to travel for movies and will often end up here precisely to have moderate steaks and a movie. (Ever notice the lack of great restaurants in proximity to mainstream movie theaters in the Milwaukee area?) The staff is friendly, the place is clean, I don't feel overwhelmed by children at a place that can tend toward the family and I don't have to go far for my movie. The beer selection isn't bad, I can get a girly drink if I'm in the mood and the parking lot is big. Best Texas Roadhouse feature is the call ahead. They don't take reservations, but it's at least a 20 minute drive for us. I call to get on the wait list when we leave the house and have a table within 5 minutes of arriving.

    Big fan of the Roadhouse. Been going there since they opened and just love it. Always have a great time and great food. Servers are very friendly, I only know of two that are really bad. Love the floor show when they dance and the kids like to get up there and learn too. Definitely not a place if you have a peanut allergy because they are everywhere and they are delicious! I really recommend the Road Kill if you are looking for a juicy & flavorful meal - chopped steak, topped with mushrooms, onions and jack cheese- YUM! The smothered chicken is just as good, same principal with chicken. Totally healthy too - NOT! but that is why it's so darn good. I really like their salads also, they are just HUGE!!! Very fresh. I can not say I am a super huge fan of their steaks because they tend to be rare or well done, hard to get a good medium. You get alot of food and for a great price. We can go there and have an appetizer (I recommend the cheese fries), beers, kids meal and two entrees and spend under $40 which I think is really good. They have great specials like Kids night and early bird before 6pm specials too. I'm hungry already just writing this review, maybe we will go tonight.

    As I said before, I'm not a fan of national chains. Also not enthralled with places that equate noise with fun. So why did I go here? Because people I liked were going and sometimes you have to bite the bullet. Or maybe I do it for Yelp. LOL. Anyway the staff greets you with a cheerful, almost scripted greeting. They have a pail of peanuts on the table which were very good. I love peanuts and these were fresh. It was hard to tell my hands to stop shoving them in my mouth. The server brought warm bread to our table soon after we were seated. The butter is mixed with cinnamon which I associate more with breakfast that supper. She advised they make fresh bread every 5 minutes. I had the BBQ ribs and was surprised at how good they were. A half rack was bigger than other half racks I had yet price was similar so I was happy. The noise level made it hard to converse but I am sure the young ppl love this. Staff came out to sing (or shout) several times during our stay. All in all, service & food was good. Guess the noise is part of their culture.

    When we arrived, around 630, there was no wait. I had the bbq chicken & ribs, which were good. The sauce was really delicious. Joy had the pulled pork & grilled shrimp. The shrimp had a little kick, which I really liked, but Joy thought was a little too spicy. The portions were also a good size, more than enough for both of us. The only inconvenience was that they forgot one of Joy's side dishes, but they brought it out immediately once we said something. All in all, not a bad meal.

    The peanut shells on the floor is awesome. We go there at least once a week because we are locals. We always get the filet and ribeye, baked potato loaded and yummy green beans. The bread is fresh and the cinnamon butter with it is to DIE FOR!

    The Texas Roadhouse was pretty busy but spacious enough to seat my party of 4 immediately. My group's waitress was very nice and helpful. I had a combo of pulled pork and ribs. They were both tasty but I wish they had a better BBQ sauce to go with it. My girlfriend got a rib eye but it was cooked more than she asked for. Everyone enjoyed their meal and I don't think anyone finished. The price seemed right too and I would go back.

    Could have been better, but still a decent steak. I ordered mine medium, but it was definitely cooked too long, because there was no pink at all in it. Rolls and butter to go makes up for a lackluster meal. Still, anywhere that lets you throw peanuts on the ground is worth the visit. Onlyl Texas Roadhouse I've been to that didn't offer a military discount of some sort, especially for a group of 3 spending nearly 75 dollars. Like I said, could have been better, but for a steakhouse, they should be able to get the grill time right.

    Not bad, good service a little more pricier than it should be but overall not bad- you will not feel like you are getting rip with the check just a little squeezed for the value.

    Sometimes a bit of a wait but worth it. Most of the time the ribs are perfect--fall off the bone good. Can't beat the loaded mashed potatos. It is loud and festive.

    Country music and loud people fill this place. Food was below average for the price. What bothers me is everyone throws their old peanuts on the floor when they are given a second bucket for scaps. No no sweeps between customers, big turn off when your eating to hear crunching peanut shells below you.

    If you like loud, obnoxious country music, servers who stop and line dance to songs, and food that is drenched in BBQ sauce, this place is for you! I am not into the cheesy theme restaurants, but it was packed on a Tuesday night, so I must be in the minority.

    One of the few chain restaurants I actually enjoy... and will seek out. This particular version is right near a movie theater, and somewhat hidden behind an Appleby's, but has the signature steaks and ribs we knew from visiting its New Mexico counterpart. They offer peanuts in their shells as an automatically available appetizer on every table, and encourage visitors to throw the shells on the floor of the restaurant, so not long after it opens for a given day, the sense of sitting in a barn is accentuated by all the crunching shells underfoot. Their portions are huge, and their steaks are fresh and juicy. Their ribs take it to a whole other level--perfectly done with the meat falling off the bones and a flavorful bark. If anything could be noted as a downside, it's that... well... it has a Texas theme: loud country music and rowdy celebrations of birthdays and whatever else your companions might think of to embarrass you about. And while their "fresh vegetable" side does taste fresh, I've noticed that if you like to eat the skin of your baked potato (and I do), it's rather overdone, so you get more of a potato-chip effect on the outside than what I'd count as being perfect. And certainly, if you're a vegetarian, this *really* isn't the place to go, as you have no options or alternatives. But when you're in that steak mood... it's hard to beat this place. (And I *really* wish I could give 4.5 stars!)

    Fantastic service - friendly & fast. The unlimited hot bread rolls with cinnamon butter are out of this world! You also get a bucket of peanuts when seated. Loved the loaded baked potato. I absolutely hated my burger. The meat was dry and tasteless. That being said, I know the steaks here have been good in the past and my family loved the ribs. Bring an appetite. The servings are massive. I certainly will come back but definitely won't be getting the burger.

    No problems today. (6-7-13) We had the ribs and they were very good. We normally get extra sauce on the side. The ribs do fall off the bone so you can't go wrong. Baked potato and Caesar salad were good too. Free cactus onion with 2 large bevs. Cool. In the past I've had the prime rib. That would be a 3 star. Just not as good and too salty. I do like their prime better then the Outback Steakhouse.

    Can you say food coma?!?! I'm really concerned about the huge portions at this place. Monster sized! So we came here after spending a long day walking around and having fun so we were starving. Plus side is that it was a short walk across the parking lot from our hotel. Down side, they have peanuts everywhere! They even give you peanuts to go. Shells? All over the floors. It was a bit strange experience for me since I am not one to litter anywhere, I even have a hard time dropping shells at a ball game. The pleasant waitress walked up and of course suggested an appetizer after taking our drink orders. I just had a feeling that we shouldn't order one but she was so convincing of the combo appetizer and the fried pickles. Well, it would be good if it wasn't for two people who just ordered two 1/2lb burgers! OMG! We couldn't even touch the burgers! We had to have them packed which defeated the purpose of eating something small after a long day. And the fries! Tons of steak fries. I mean, how many fries can one eat? The food was OK. The raspberry margarita was tasty and refreshing and didn't seem very strong. The staff was nice. It was pretty busy but practically no wait when we arrived. I would recommend going here and have a steak or ribs, people seemed to be enjoying tremendously. I would skip the appetizers unless you're with a big group and then do the poppers (rattlesnake bites) or try the fried pickles which are pretty interesting rather than the potato skins which seemed a little dry for something smothered in sour cream.

    So last night the family and I had dinner here: First off with the endless supply of peanuts & rolls there is no need for appetizers. I had the ribs/chicken combo the Ribs were ok...but the chicken breast had no seasonings which they masked w/tons of sauce. The mashed potatoes were COLD & DISGUSTING. I like seasoned HOT mashed potatoes that are in the bowl not around the rim w/a middle of the most disgusting gravy. The best part of my meal was the warm rolls. My daughter had the kids so-called slammers the bread was toasted... more like hard as a rock. Another family member said the green beans she had were soggy. I rate it a 2 for the rolls & peanuts. Our waitress was good. I don't see Texas Roadhouse in my near future...I DEFINITELY have had better & you have too.

    We won't go back! My husbands chicken was green/gray under the batter & the manager was UNBELIEVABLY rude to us, even attempting to argue with us about the dang chicken!
